Why I built this

François Le Grand thinking over a move at an over-the-board tournament
Over the board, at least I know nobody's cheating.

Hi, I'm François Le Grand.

I'm a 37-year-old dad based in São Paulo, and I love chess. I play a lot of it online, on both Chess.com and Lichess, as well as OTB.

Every now and then, an online game leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Your opponent finds perfect moves, never seems to stop and think, and you're left wondering: Were they cheating? Did they ever get caught?

I just wanted some peace of mind about the games I'd played. You can check opponents manually, but with hundreds of games played every year, that takes forever. I looked online for something that would do it for me, couldn't find it, and decided to build it myself.

I built Chess Cheaters with Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic. I described the idea, Claude wrote and tested the code, and we kept polishing it together until it could get through all my accounts in one go. Cheers to Claude!

It's free, there's no sign-up, and nothing you type leaves your browser. I hope it gives you the same peace of mind it gave me.

François
